In early 2013, we started building Richfox with a strong vision, a passion for quantitative research applied to all things financial and with a relatively small AUM comprised mostly of our savings, as the first pioneers in quantitative investing in the region. And here we are, years later, bigger and stronger than ever. Along the road, we applied our proprietary quantitative research to deliver performance comparable to the world’s best, mastered the art of efficient fund structuring and management, deepened our understanding of intricate needs of the most sophisticated private wealth owners and entrepreneurs, built strong partnerships all around Europe and established a thriving, prosperous family of colleagues and investors. We still very much love our journey, and we take great pride in uniting exceptional minds under the common banner of building a better world of finance. From time to time, we still hear those voices. You are too alternative, too difficult to understand, too outlandish, and doomed to fail in the end, they say. We smile and keep working hard.

We humbly recognize how fortunate we have been in our lives, born into the free world, endowed with certain competence which enabled us to build successful careers and ventures, and enjoying a healthy degree of luck on our path, we strongly believe it is as much a virtue as common decency to invest some of the fruits of our labour into worthy causes that progress the well-being of others and our entire species and protect the values of the free world. We pursue this ambition through the promotion of science and education and recently, helping the nation of Ukraine in its rightful struggle. As such, we established meaningful partnerships with NGOs and other institutions actively promoting literacy and scientific progress. We perceive science with its rigorous, critical methodology as no doubt the ultimate achievement of humankind. Expanding our horizons helps us understand the world around us and fight poverty and diseases as much as our prejudices or false beliefs. Its evidence-based approach enables us to concentrate on facts when ideologies or religions deny us clear and unbiased judgment. It provides the best hope for our species to reach out to the stars and free us from our evolutionary limitations. At the same time, we observe with worry as the tyrants and despots once again flex their muscles against the free peoples of this world, threatening the civilised order of the global society. We take active steps to steer capital under our management away from regions such as Russia, Turkey, or China and actively support countries such as Ukraine, structuring one of the first institutional-grade investment vehicles in the West - Maidan Ventures - designed specifically for the post-war reconstruction of the country.
